Congrats, Shef

The New York Mets' Gary Sheffield celebrates after crossing home plate after hitting his 500th career home run during their MLB National League baseball game against the Milwaukee Brewers in New York April 17, 2009.

Sheffield came into the game as a pinch hitter and delivered on a full-count pitch to become the 25th player to reach the 500 home run milestone. He also joined Willie Mays, Frank Robinson, Hank Aaron, Reggie Jackson and Barry Bonds as the only players with 500 homers and at least 2,500 hits, 1,500 RBIs and 200 stolen bases. (AP)
