Jose Alberto Pujols was born on January 16, 1980, in Santo Domingo - the capital city of the Dominican Republic.
A first baseman for the St. Louis Cardinals, Pujols is affectionately called "Phat Albert" in St. Louis because of his slugging ability. I call him "Phat Albert" for very different reasons though. Wanna guess why?
