Eric Roberson: 2011 Grammy Nominee

Tonight the Grammy Awards are on CBS, and it could possibly be one of the best Grammy shows in a while. One of the nominees is Eric Roberson.

In addition to being a talented songwriter and performer, Eric Roberson is considered, "The King of Independent Soul". In fifteen years, Roberson has has released seven albums - six of which have been independently released. Roberson is Grammy-nominated for the Best Urban/Alternative Performance category. This marks his second Grammy-nomination.

Roberson's "Still" is not only a beautiful song, but the video itself has a prominent message for women to get themselves regular mammograms for early detection of breast cancer.

Physically, Roberson is a King, but he is definately a King, when it comes to positive music.

Roberson's category includes nominees:
Bilal, Little One
Cee Lo Green, F*** You
Carolyn Malachi, Orion

Who do you think should win the category tonight?
Take the poll.

1(866) IDOLS 07

Michael Lynche is a contestant on this season's American Idol. Big boy has pipes (no pun intended) so it is unbelieveable that he was almost voted off the show last week. This week he gave a great performance.

Yes, he can be a little arrogant, but if American Idol is a "singing competition" then Michael Lynche deserves to be a top three finalist along with Crystal Bowersox and Casey James.

Big boys and friends unite!!

Vote for Michael Lynche at 1 (866) 436-5707.

Phat and Skinny

The photos show music artist Amy Winehouse with her FINE ASS bodyguard, Neville. In the first set, Amy and Neville were spotted taking a recent stroll in St. Lucia. Gossip has it that she is/was involved in a fling with Neville.

Unfortunately, Winehouse, like Whitney Houston, succumbed to a really bad drug addiction over recent years. Winehouse was a fairly attractive woman before she became an addict. Check out the amazing before and after photos here.

Maybe Amy could get some recovery/comeback pointers from Whitney.

My Amy Winehouse Playlist
1. Mr. Magic
2. You Sent Me Flying
3. In My Bed
4. Some Unholy War
5. Love Is A Losing Game
6. You Know I'm No Good
7. Tears Dry On Their On
8. Fool's Gold
9. I Heard Love Is Blind

Note: Look at Neville's footwear in the last photo. Dude has some big feet.

Big Boys Got Talent

With the two-hour season premier of "America's Got Talent" airing tonight, I thought it would be a good time to showcase 2008's winner.

Neal E. Boyd, a Sikeston, Missouri native who was living in suburban St. Louis (Town and Country) during the competition, was selling insurance before winning the $1 million "Talent" prize by singing Opera on the show.

Ironically, a trimmer Boyd will release his first CD, "My American Dream," on today. I plan to check it out.

Happy Birthday, Luther

If Luther Vandross, one of the greatest crooners to ever live, were alive today he'd be 58 years old.
